The rules of the luggage storage in Via Villareale 31. Five minutes of reading, no surprises later.

19 September 2026

This document exists in Italian and in English. Where they differ, the Italian text prevails.

1. Who provides the service

The service is provided by COSENTINO SERVICE S.N.C. DI COSENTINO SALVATORE E C., registered office at Via Divisi 76/78, 90133 Palermo (PA), Italia, VAT and tax number 07398910823, reachable at info@depositobagaglipalermo.com.

2. What the service is

Temporary custody of luggage in automated lockers at Via Villareale 31 in Palermo, accessible 24 hours a day.

The contract is a deposit under articles 1766 and following of the Italian Civil Code: you keep ownership of what you leave, and the operator answers for its custody within the limits set out in clause 10.

Lockers are booked by size, not by number: the specific cell is assigned when you drop the bags off.

3. How to book

Online on this site only, including from your phone at the door. A booking is confirmed once payment succeeds: only then is the opening code issued and sent to the email address given.

An unpaid booking is held for a few minutes, after which the locker returns to general availability.

Bookings can be made up to 180 days ahead.

4. Prices

Prices are published on the Prices page and include VAT. Charging is hourly with a daily cap: past a certain length the price for that day stops rising.

The exact total is shown before payment. Opening the locker during the booked period is unlimited and free.

On the larger sizes a deposit is held on the card. It is not charged and is released when you collect your bags.

5. Payment

Credit and debit cards only, online through Stripe (Apple Pay and Google Pay included). The premises are self-service, with no staff and no card terminal: cash is not accepted.

Online payment is handled entirely by Stripe Payments Europe Ltd: the operator never sees or stores your card number.

6. Hours, late collection and extensions

The storage is reachable around the clock with the code you received. The code is personal: anyone holding it can open the locker.

There is a 15 minute grace period after the booked end. Beyond that, the extra time is charged at the hourly rate for that size, still within the daily cap.

A booking can be extended at any time from your booking page, with no need to come in person.

7. Cancellation and refund

A booking can be cancelled up to 60 minutes before its start, free of charge and fully refunded to the same payment method.

After that, and in case of no-show, the amount is not refundable: the cell was held and unavailable to anyone else.

As this is a service with a specific date and period of performance, the right of withdrawal for distance contracts does not apply (article 59(1)(n) of the Italian Consumer Code). The cancellation window described above is granted by the operator, not required by law.

8. What may not be stored

You may not store:

  • flammable or explosive materials: gas cylinders, fuels, fireworks, solvents;
  • perishable food;
  • live animals;
  • cash, jewellery and goods worth more than 500 euro;
  • weapons and ammunition;
  • illegal substances and goods.

9. Weight and size limits

Each cell has a maximum weight: 15 kg for small, 25 kg for medium, 35 kg for large. The luggage must fit with the door closed.

You are responsible for what you put in: luggage that stops the door closing leaves the locker open, and with it its contents.

10. Liability

The operator answers for the custody of the luggage deposited, under the rules of deposit.

Since goods worth more than 500 euro may not be stored, compensation for loss or damage is measured against that value per locker. Liability for wilful misconduct and gross negligence remains in full, as article 1229 of the Italian Civil Code requires: it can neither be excluded nor limited.

The operator does not answer for contents stored in breach of clause 8, nor for damage arising from the nature of what was stored.

The service does not include insurance cover on the goods deposited.

11. Luggage left behind

Twenty-four hours after the booked end, if the luggage has not been collected, the operator contacts the customer at the details provided.

After 7 days the operator may open the locker in the presence of a witness, list the contents and store them separately. The occupation time remains payable at the tariff.

Anything unclaimed is treated as found property under article 927 of the Italian Civil Code and handed to the Municipality of Palermo. Perishable food and anything dangerous is disposed of immediately.

12. Minimum age

The service is for people aged 18 and over.

13. Bike rental

We rent bicycles and pedal-assisted e-bikes, picked up and returned at the Via Villareale 31 premises. Rentals are booked and paid online, by the hour or by the day; whichever of the two is cheaper always applies.

At pick-up the customer shows the rental code and a valid ID; we may refuse to hand over a bike to anyone who does not, or who is visibly unfit to ride. Rentals are for adults only.

From pick-up until return the bicycle is in the customer’s care, and the customer answers for it: use it with care, lock it with the lock provided whenever it is left unattended, obey the road rules and do not lend it to others. Theft, loss and damage beyond normal wear are charged to the customer, up to the replacement value stated in the rental contract, halved if the bike was locked as required and a police report is provided; defects that existed before hand-over remain ours. At pick-up the customer signs the rental contract, which carries these conditions and the ID details.

The bicycle must be returned by the booked time, at the same place it was picked up. Each hour of delay is charged at the category’s hourly rate; returns outside opening hours are not possible.

A rental can be cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours before the pick-up time by writing to the address in clause 14, with a full refund to the same payment method; after that, or if the bike is not collected within two hours of the booked time, the amount is not refunded. The right of withdrawal for distance contracts does not apply (art. 59(1)(n) of the Consumer Code).

The service does not include insurance cover for the customer for injury to themselves or others. A helmet is available on request at pick-up.

14. Complaints, governing law and jurisdiction

Complaints go to info@depositobagaglipalermo.com and are answered within 30 days.

The contract is governed by Italian law. For contracts with a consumer, the court of the consumer’s place of residence or domicile has jurisdiction, where that is in Italy.

The European Commission provides an online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
